In addition, with Christmas just around the corner, it gives everyone a few ideas on affordable gifts whilst spending fun and quality time with family members. Each year the winners are awarded prizes and the “works of art” are displayed at our Head Office.

The ISO 14000 family of standards provides companies with practical tools to manage their environmental responsibilities and help reduce the impact their operations have on the environment. They were developed by the ISO Technical Committee ISO/TC 207 and its various subcommittees.
DataDot South Africa embraced the ISO14001 standard in order to:

  • Become the ONLY “green” microdot supplier in Africa
  • Demonstrate their compliance with current and future statutory and regulatory requirements
  • Increase engagement and participation of employees and management in environmental management
  • To improve productivity and reduce costs
  • To encourage better environmental performance of suppliers

Being #ISO14001 certified means that we keep an Environmental Aspects and Impacts Register – regular reviewing and monitoring of our environmental risks is the glue that binds the whole of the risk management process together. It ensures that the Environmental Management System continues to add value to the organisation. All departments are required to maintain a register identifying all their environmental impacts as well as preventive measures to ensure that our processes and products do not cause any harm to the #environment.

DataDot South Africa have significantly reduced their IMPACT on the Environment. Being ISO14001 certified is hard work but very rewarding. We earned our ISO14001 certification in 2014 and have now mapped out a framework to follow in order to have an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). Internal Compliance Audits are conducted annually by our Compliance Officer – Wesley Lee. He ensures that processes are followed and that environmental goals and objectives are being met. The ISO14001 standard is voluntary and can be used by any company wanting to improve environmental performance whilst complying with applicable legislation. Being ISO14001 compliant assures our DataDotSA customers, management, employees and stakeholders that our environmental impact is continuously being measured and improved and that we are doing everything possible to achieve #sustainabledevelopment.

Did you know.........
Microdots can be applied to any item of value to uniquely identify an asset?

Apart from providing currently over 3.7 million vehicles with their own DNA - microdots, or as we like to call them DataDots, can be applied to any asset of value. This means that if the valuable item or asset is stolen and recovered it can be linked back to the owner provided the owner has registered on our DataDot app.
